Educational Tools — Not Certified Engineering or Safety Advice

DriveForward’s calculators are learning and estimation tools. They apply standard, simplified formulas to the values you enter and round results for readability, so a result depends entirely on your input and on the assumptions of a deliberately simple model. This applies to every tool on the Service: the EV range calculator, the EV charging time calculator, the road trip day & route planner, and the trip fuel & energy cost calculator all produce general estimates, not manufacturer-verified or certified figures.

Two tools carry an especially important limitation. The Stopping Distance & Reaction Time Calculator is an educational illustration of how reaction time and braking physics combine — it is notprofessional driver training, and it does not model your reflexes, your vehicle’s actual brakes and tires, or real road conditions. The SAE Autonomy Level Guide matches a plain-language description of a driver-assistance system to the SAE J3016 automation levels (L0–L5) as a learning reference — it is nota certified engineering or legal determination of any real vehicle’s automation level, and it should never be used to decide how much attention a driver can safely divert from the road. Nothing on the Service is a substitute for a vehicle’s owner’s manual, a qualified driving instructor, or the relevant traffic authority, and none of it should be used to make a real-world safety decision.

Description of Service

All tools are provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Your Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

You are responsible for exercising your own judgment and for never relying on a calculator result — particularly a stopping distance or autonomy-level result — in place of a vehicle’s owner’s manual, a qualified driving instructor, or the relevant traffic authority for any real-world driving decision.

Accuracy and Disclaimers

While we aim for correct formulas, we cannot guarantee that every calculation is error-free or suited to your circumstances. Results are estimates based on standard, simplified methods and the figures you provide, and are rounded for display. DriveForward makes no warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DriveForward or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, losses from a real-world driving, purchasing, or safety decision) arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
